Arena Updates

Good Afternoon

Just wanted to give all of you an update on the changes that are happening in the facility.

The Province  has allowed areas to start to re-open to full  capacity. With the announcement made last Friday the following changes are now in effect at the Seaforth and District Community Centre.

·        Arena stands and viewing areas have now been moved to full capacity we have decided to open the lobby for viewing and standing room only.

·        Ice surface numbers have increased to normal capacity although we shouldn’t see 250 people on the surface often

·        Main hall space numbers will return to full capacity on November 15^th

·        Dressing room numbers have returned to regular capacity of 32.

·        Face coverings are still required in all parts of the facility except for the ice surface.

·        Starting Sunday October 31^st  anyone entering the facility 12 years of age or older must show proof of double vaccination as well ID. The new QR code is accepted  but not mandatory. Staff and or guards will accept the paper copies. This is a change being implemented by the Huron /Perth Public health unit.

Just a few housekeeping items to inform all groups:

·        Anyone entering the facility is still required to sign the contact tracing book, use the facility QR code, or if your group is using an app you may use that but are required to show staff or guards that you have checked in.

·        We still are asking that you arrive no more than 30 minutes prior to your rental begins and you must vacate 20 minutes once your rental time is completed. We are still required to disinfect dressing room and heavily touched areas.  Please inform the teams that are coming from other communities.

·        Please remind the younger groups with young siblings that the dressing room area and players benches are off limits while others are using the ice surface. The facility staff is not responsible for unsupervised youth.

·        Please put pylons and other coaching aids away when completed using. Do not leave them in the players or penalty benches.

·        Dressing room hallway doors are for exiting the facility  or for emergency purposes only

·        If you have any dates that you are not using the ice please send them to me ASAP.

·        With the colder weather approaching if you are not using the ice because of a weather issue please email me and call the facility to inform staff.
